Texas Hold'em

In Texas Hold'em the "dealer button" indicates who is the dealer. The deal moves clockwise between the players. Texas Hold'em is played with two blinds, the "small blind" and the "big blind". Before any cards are dealt the blinds must be posted. The player to the left of the dealer posts the small blind and the next player in turn posts the big blind. Players receive two cards face down (also called holecards), after which there is a round of betting.

In this round the player to the left of the big blind is first to act. After that there will be three community cards dealt face up on the board, called the flop, and another round of betting occurs. This betting round the "small blind" starts the action. Then another community card, "the turn" or "fourth street" will be dealt, and another round of betting occurs. Finally the last community card, "the river" or "fifth street", will appear on the board. The last round of betting occurs.

If no more betting takes place there is a showdown to determine the winner. The players are allowed to use one or two of their hole cards, but they can also "play the board" meaning that they can use all five cards on the board.

The best possible five card poker hand, using any combination of hole cards and community cards, wins the pot. If two or more players show the same hand they split the pot. Please take a look to the Texas Hold'em handrankings

Omaha

In Omaha the dealer button indicates who is the dealer. The deal moves clockwise between the players.

Omaha is played with two blinds, the "small blind" and the "big blind". Before any cards are dealt the blinds must be posted. The player to the left of the dealer posts the small blind and the next player in turn posts the big blind. Players receive four cards face down (also called holecards), after which there is a round of betting.

In this round the player to the left of the big blind is first to act. After that there will be three community cards dealt face up on the board, called "the flop", and another round of betting occurs.

The players must use exactly two of their four hole cards and three community cards. The best possible five card poker hand wins the pot. If two or more players show the same hand they split the pot. Please take a look to the Omaha handrankings

Seven Card Stud

In Seven Card Stud players receive three cards, two cards dealt face down and one face up (also called holecards).

The player showing the lowest card in fixed limit and the highest card in pot limit after the deal must make a bring-in that usually amounts two times the ante or make a bet higher than that if the limit allows it.

For the purposes of determining the forced bring-in, ties in card rank are broken by suit, with the order being spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs (in descending order). After the bring-in or bet is made action continuous clockwise until betting is completed for the round. Then the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th card is dealt to each player and another betting round starts after each card dealt.

If any player shows a pair on 4th street it is possible to bet/raise double the limit. A maximum of three raises is allowed, no matter the size of each raise. The player showing the highest hand on the board is first to act in each round.

If no more betting takes place there is a showdown to determine the winner. The best possible five card poker hand wins the pot (kickers count). If two or more players in poker online show the same hand they split the pot. Please take a look to the Seven Card Stud handrankings
